Contract Award

Anyone oconus with information about the contract awards? I am scheduled for Past on May 3rd for A-stan. Heard Dyn will keep the Iraq contract and they will receive a $17K per year raise. starting in June, Starting up PAST classes. Thanks for any info, I am thinking it might be worth waiting a couple more months for that kind of pay raise.

I'm over here in Afghanistan now and all we're hearing are rumors and speculation. This is a contract renewal year so we're waiting to hear. Some of the current rumors are:

1. MPRI/CPI is going to get the AFG contract, which would result in a pay raise
2. MPRI/CPI isn't getting the AFG contract, they're getting the Iraq contract, which would result in a pay raise
3. Dyncorp isn't losing anything, no pay raises, business as usual.

I'm told that Dyncorp just lost the static security contract in Qatar to ITT. No idea if that will have any effect here or not.

I've been cleared with MPRI/CPI for the ICITAP program in Iraq as of this time they are still waiting to hear who got the contract

I know dyn is trying awful hard to fill some slots on a 45 day contract for qatar.. i had an email friday and a call today about it... I have no idea what that means in the long run... if I couold get more than a one day notice I would probably go for it... I have never really heard anything good about the qatar gig, but 45 days is a drop in a bucket...

I have no idea about the iraq or a-stan gigs...

Any info out there on Dyn's Iraq May PAST dates....I'm still waiting on DOS.....

The (Task Order) SOW for Afghanistan came out today, and word on the street is that DYN and CPI split Iraq; Dyn does the support and CPI does the Advisors and the management.

Anyone know the turn around time for the DOS back groud checks other than the standard 30-90 days...I'm hoping to get out of here on May 17th...

The word I got from a Dyn security person was that they are placing the ones that are coming up for PAST the soonest on top of the pile. They are asking that those be expedited. My understanding was about three to four weeks.
