| is it true persons deploying to iraq have to attend an additional 2 week course stateside prior to deployment?? what and where?? |

| if you are talking about civpol... all I know of is 10 days at PAST and about 5 or 6 days at CRC |

Conus Replacement Center... It was at Ft Bliss when I went but I believe it has since been moved to Ft Benning Ga...
the army has final say if you go... so you have to see army doctors, more shots... process paperwork, get dogtags and another bag of gear... helmet, vest, gas mak.. etc etc etc.. an army dentist reviews our dental x rays and records and decides if you need work before you can deploy...
more first aid training, ied training, etc etc

thank you zeus you have been very helpful  this will be my first deployment i have a friend in afghan. he says it sux big time, poor support and thus i heard iraq is a lot better |

I have a few friends in a-stan.. the ones on the dyn civpol gig all say it sucks... the ones working for other companies say it is not so bad... One of them finished 2 years in iraq and then was in a-stan a few months later.. he hates a-stan...
