Pec Region : Three masked armed suspects attempt to rob a local shop. No injuries. Mitrovica Region: Wanted escapee arrested by off duty KPS officer. PRISTINA Region =============== :: ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON :: Kosovo Polje, Pristina - 26/12 - 2215 hrs. Two K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police after they were found in possession of two pistols. GNJILANE Region =============== :: GRENADE ATTACK :: Cernice Village, Gnjilane - 25/12 - 1925 hrs. Unknown person(s) threw a grenade in front of a K-Serbian male's house. The explosion caused damage to the garage and the windows. No injuries were reported. SHOOTING Minastriris Village, Gnjilane - 23/12 - 1810 hrs. A K-Albanian male was shot once in the leg with an assault rifle. First investigations indicate that the victim accidentally discharged the weapon and shot himself. The victim is in good condition. ASSAULT Kacanik Town - 25/12 - 1730 hrs. Four K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police after they assaulted another K-Albanian male. No injuries were reported. CRIMINAL DAMAGE Urosevac Town - 26/12 - 0010 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after causing damage to a local shop. Extents of damages were not reported. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON * Vitina Town - 26/12 - 1700 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after being found in possession of a pistol. The weapon was seized. * Smira Village, Gnjilane - 26/12 - 1515 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after a search of his home revealed two hand grenades. ATTEMPTED RAPE * Gnjilane - 25/12 - 2030 hrs. A K-Albanian female reported that an unknown male suspect grabbed her as she walked home from work and attempted to rape her. A passerby intervened and the suspect fled. No injuries were reported. * Gnjilane - 25/12 - 2030 hrs. A Bulgarian female reported that an unknown male suspect attempted to rape her while she was walking. The victim managed to resist the suspect who fled. Minor injuries were reported. PRIZREN Region ============== :: ASSAULT ON OFFICER :: Malishevo Town - 26/12 - 1330 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police for assaulting an UNMIK Police Officer who started to direct traffic to resolve a traffic jam. The suspect was taken to court were he was freed by the judge. No injuries were reported. ARMED ASSAULT Prizren - 25/12 - 2245 hrs. Two K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police after they chased another K-Albanian male and tried to stab him with a knife. No injuries were reported. PEC Region ========== :: ATTEMPTED ROBBERY :: Pec Town - 25/12 - 1905 hrs. Three masked and armed suspects attempted to rob a local K-Albanian owned shop. No injuries were reported. No further information given. Investigation continuing. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON Marmul Village, Dakovica - 26/12 - 1230 hrs. Two K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police when they were found in possession of a shotgun. ILLEGAL WOODCUTTING Junik Village, Decani - 25/12 - 2000hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police for hauling illegally cut wood. MITROVICA Region ================ :: ASSAULT ON KPS OFFICER / ARREST OF ESCACPED HOMICIDE SUSPECT :: Srbica Town - 26/12 - Day Time hrs. An off duty KPS Officer arrested a K-Albanian male escapee. A crowd of about 30 persons tried to prevent the arrest but was held off by a warning shot. Three to four of the escapee's friends tried to pull him away from the officer, but other KPS Officers arrived on the scene and helped to take the escapee into custody. During the arrest the escapee received a minor injury and was given medical treatment. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE / RESISTING ARREST Mitrovica North - 26/12 - 0245 hrs. An intoxicated K-Serbian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after he became abusive to Police Officers, who approached him at the scene were he had a single vehicle accident. No injuries were reported. DEAD BODY FOUND Vucitrn Town - 26/12 - 0345 hrs. A K-Albanian male found a dead body of a male person lying on the roadside. The scene was attended by a Doctor who pronounced the victim dead of a heart attack. BORDER Police ============= GENERAL JANKOVIC ---------------- FALSE / STOLEN PASSPORTS * 25/12 - 1430 hrs. Two K-Albanian males were detained when they arrived from Zurich on false passports. The passports were seized and the subjects were released into Kosovo. * 25/12 - 0720 hrs. One K-Albanian male entered Kosovo with a stolen passport. The suspect's vehicle authorization was also false. Both the document and vehicle were seized and the suspect was released into Kosovo. * 25/12 - 2035 hrs. Three K-Albanian males attempted to enter Kosovo with stolen passports. The documents were seized and the subjects allowed entry. VRBNICA ------- FALSE DOCUMENTS * 25/12 - 1115 hrs. A K-Albanian male was detained when he attempted to enter Kosovo using a false passport. The passport was seized and he was released into Kosovo. * 24/12 - 1945 hrs. A K-Albanian male attempted to enter Kosovo while in possession of a false driver's license. The document was seized and he was allowed entry. CAFA PRUSHIT ------------ ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING * 25/12 - 0800 hrs. Five Albanian males attempted to enter Kosovo on an illegal trail. They were detained and released into Albania. * 25/12 - 1100 hrs. An Albanian male reportedly crossed the border at Cafa Morina illegally. He was detained and advised to secure a passport.
