Gnjilane Region : K-Albanian male shot after pointing weapon at KFOR. Minor injuries. Prizren Region : Grenade attack destroys local bakery. No injuries reported. Pec Region : K-Albanian home struck by gunfire. No injuries reported. Mitrovica Region : Two K-Albanian males shot and killed by a K-Albanian male. One arrest. PRISTINA Region ================ :: ATTEMPTED MURDER :: Slatina Village, Pristina - 30/12 - 2050 hrs. Three suspects attacked an off-duty KPS officer after he had an earlier altercation during the day with one of the individuals. One suspect fired a shot with a handgun at the officer but missed him. After the officer fired a warning shot in the air the offenders stopped the attack. A KPS Patrol Unit arrested the three suspects. ARMED ROBBERY Pristina Town - 30/12 - 2130 hrs. Three unknown suspects, two of them masked robbed a K-Albanian male at gunpoint of cash and a mobile phone. No injuries were reported. GNJILANE Region =============== :: ATTEMPTED MURDER :: Urosevac Town - 30/12 - 1150 hrs. A K-Albanian male pointed an automatic rifle at Greek KFOR soldiers. The suspect pulled the trigger numerous times while aiming at the soldiers but the magazine was missing and the weapon was not loaded. The soldiers fired two warning shots in the air and one in the ground. The last round ricocheted off the ground and struck the suspect in the leg. The KFOR soldiers arrested the suspect. He was treated at Ferizaj hospital and afterwards handed over to UNMIK Police. ASSAULT * Gnjilane - 30/12 - 530 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after assaulting a KPS Officer in the Gnjilane Police Station who sustained slight injuries. * Gnjilane - 29/12 - 2105 hrs. Three K-Albanians males assaulted another K-Albanian male and his brother. The suspects were arrested by UNMIK Police. No injuries were reported. * Vitina Town - 20/12 - 1630 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after assaulting another K-Albanian male. No injuries were reported. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPONS Gnjilane - 29/12 - 2200 hrs. A K-Serbian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after being found in possession of a semi-automatic pistol and ammunition. The items were seized. PRIZREN Region ============== :: GRENADE ATTACK :: Prizren - 30/12 - 2345 hrs. Unknown person(s) threw a hand grenade at a K-Albanian owned bakery causing extensive damage to property. KFOR EOD attended the scene. No injuries were reported. VIOLATION OF PASSPORT ACT Dragash Town - 30/12 - 0600 hrs. An Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after it was discovered that he had entered Kosovo illegally and without a passport. PEC Region ========== :: SHOOTING/GUNFIRE :: Pec Town - 30/12 - 0115 hrs. Unknown person(s) shot at a K-Albanian house. Empty cartridges were found at the scene. No injuries were reported. Investigation continuing. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON Dejc Village, Klina - 29/12 - 1800 hrs. During a joint search operation by UNMIK and KFOR an illegal rifle, a semi-automatic pistol, a shotgun and several types of ammunition were seized. UNMIK Police arrested two K-Albanian male suspects. MITROVICA Region ================ :: MURDER :: Vucitrn - 30/12 - 0325 hrs. A K-Albanian male killed two K-Albanian males with an assault rifle at a coffee bar near the bus station. The suspect, who had walked to Vucitrn Police Station and admitted the offense, stated that he asked the victims if they were a Gypsies. A fight broke out, the suspect went out of the bar and came back with an assault rifle with which he shot the victims. The suspect was arrested. The weapon was seized. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPON * Grace Village, Vucitrn - 30/12 - 1100 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after he was found in possession of a pistol. * Vucitrn - 30/12 - 2240 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after he was found during a traffic stop in possession of a pistol. ARMED ASSAULT Srbica Town - 30/12. Two unknown male suspects shot at two other K-Albanian males without hitting and injuring them. BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- FALSE PASSPORT * 29/12 - 0900 hrs. A K-Albanian attempted to enter Kosovo on a false passport. The document was seized and the subject was released. * 29/12 - 1200 hrs. A K-Albanian was detained after he attempted to exit Kosovo on a false passport. The document was seized and the subject was released. GENERAL JANKOVIC ---------------- STOLEN PASSPORT 29/12 - 1400 hrs. A K-Albanian male attempted to enter Kosovo on a stolen passport. The passport was seized and the subject was processed and released. FALSE PASSPORT * 29/12 - 1600 hrs. A K-Albanian male was detained after he attempted to enter Kosovo on a passport with a stolen German Visa. The document was seized and the subject released. * 29/12 - 1640 hrs. A K-Albanian male was detained after he attempted to enter Kosovo on a false passport. The document was seized and the subject was released. VRBNICA ------- FALSE PASSPORT 29/12 -1330 hrs. Two A K-Albanian males were detained after they attempted to cross the border with false passports. The documents were seized. CAFA PRUSHIT ------------ FALSE DOCUMENT 29/12 - 1040 hrs.
