Gnjilane Region : K-Albanian male shoots and kills another K-Albanian male. Prizren Region : Off-duty KPS officer the victim of an attempted armed robbery. Pec Region : Four masked, armed suspects attempt robbery of K-Roma. Mitrovica Region: Several demonstrations in the area. All ended peacefully. PRISTINA Region =============== ::GRIEVOUS ASSAULT:: * Likoshan Village, Glogovac - 20/02 - 1240 hrs. Two unknown male suspects confronted a K-Albanian male and started to beat him with a stick. When the victim attempted to flee, one of the suspects shot him with a shotgun, striking him in the arm and the hand. The victim was treated at a local hospital for his injury and then later taken to Pristina hospital. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. * Slatina Village, Kosovo Polje - 20/02 - 0020 hrs. In a restaurant an unknown male suspect shot a K-Albanian male with an assault rifle. The victim was struck once in the leg. The suspect fled the scene. The victim was treated at a local hospital for his injury and released. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. GNJILANE Region =============== ::MURDER:: Germova Village, Vitina - 20/02 - 1600 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested for murder after he shot another K-Albanian male with a shotgun in a field over a land dispute. The victim was transported to Gnjilane hospital where he died from his wound. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ATTEMPTED MURDER Urosevac Town - 20/02 - 1250 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he shot and wounded another K-Albanian male with an assault rifle. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. An assault rifle and ammunition was seized. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ASSAULT/DEMONSTRATION Pasjane Village, Gnjilane - 20/02 - 1400 hrs. A crowd of approximately 300 K-Serbians gathered to protest, became unruly, and began throwing stones at both UNMIK and KFOR personnel. One UNMIK Police officer was injured. The crowd was eventually brought under control at approximately 1600 hrs. Another protest is scheduled for 21/02. THREAT/INTIMIDATION * Gnjilane - 19/02 - 1500 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he threatened his wife. No physical injuries were reported. * Klokot Village, Vitina - 20/02 - 1440 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported being threatened by a K-Serbian male during a dispute. No physical injuries were reported. No arrest was reported. CRIMINAL DAMAGE Koretin Village, Kamenica - 20/02 - 1700 hrs. Unknown persons threw rocks at the car of a K-Serbian male while he was driving through the village, causing some damage. No physical injuries were reported. DANGEROUS DRIVING Bibaj Village, Urosevac - 19/02 - 1330 hrs. A K-Albanian male who was driving at a high rate of speed and failed to stop for UNMIK Police officers was later arrested. PRIZREN Region ============== ::ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY:: Mushutisht Village, Suva Reka - 19/02 - 2050 hrs. Approximately five masked male suspects armed with rifles stopped an off-duty K-Albanian male KPS Officer and attempted to rob him. The suspects were unsuccessful and fled. No physical injuries were reported. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. THEFT Suva Reka Town - 19/02 - 0300 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after attempting to steal the wallet of a K-Albanian female. DEMONSTRATION Velika Hoca Village, Orahovac - 20/02 - 1345 hrs. Approximately 50 K-Serbians gathered in front of the Police Station to protest KFOR cancelling the bus convoy to Mitrovica. The crowd was spoken to by UNMIK Police and dispersed peacefully. No incidents were reported. PEC Region ========== ::ARMED ROBBERY:: Korenica Village, Dakovica - 20/02 - 0200 hrs. Four masked and armed suspects entered a K-Roma male's residence and demanded money. Finding nothing of value the suspects fled, damaging the victim's vehicle as they passed. No physical injuries were reported. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. THEFT Dakovica Town - 19/02 - 1210 hrs. An off duty KPS officer observed a K-Albanian male picking the pocket of another K-Albanian male. The suspect was arrested. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON Bojaj Village, Klina - 20/02 - 0545 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after a search of his residence resulted in the seizure of a semi-automatic pistol and ammunition. MITROVICA Region DEMONSTRATION * Mitrovica South - 20/02 - 1150 hrs. Approximately 30 K-Albanian staged a peaceful demonstration outside of the offices of NGO "World Vision". The demonstration ended peacefully. No incidents were reported. * Zubin Potok - 20/02 - 1150 hrs. Approximately 40 K-Serbians blocked a road and staged a demonstration. The demonstration ended peacefully. No incidents were reported. * Mitrovica North - 20/02 - 1200 hrs. An unknown number of K-Serbians gathered for a demonstration where the streets were blocked. The demonstration ended peacefully. No incidents were reported. ARMED ASSAULT * Mitrovica South - 20/02 -1000 hrs. Three known K-Albanian males beat another K-Albanian male with sticks and batons. One of the suspects was armed with a pistol that he used to strike the victim. The victim sustained minor injuries. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. No arrests were reported. * Gornja Socanica Village, Leposavic - 19/02 - 1400 hrs. A K-Serbian male was beaten by another K-Serbian male with a stick during an argument. No injuries were reported. No arrest was reported. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON Srbica Town - 20/02 - 1715 hrs. A K-Albanian male was detained after being found in possession of a pistol. The weapon was confiscated. BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- FALSE PASSPORTS- 19/02. Three K-Albanians were found to be in possession of false passports, which were seized. DENERAL JANKOVIC ---------------- ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING Deneral Jankovic, Kacanik - 19/02 - 2100 hrs. Two Moldavian females and two Ukrainian females were arrested after having crossed the border illegally. FALSE PASSPORT 18/02.
