No injuries reported. Mitrovica Region <> K-Serbian truck driver robbed by four unknown males. No injuries. >>>>>> REGION PRISTINA >>> CRIMINAL INCIDENTS No significant criminal incidents reported. >>> OTHER INCIDENTS/EVENTS UXO FOUND Vranidol Village, Pristina - 26/02 - 0900 hrs. UNMIK Police recovered one hand grenade from a K-Albanian male. EOD disposed of the device. BORDER INCIDENT Gate No. 4, Pristina - 26/02 - 2130 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that, after straying across the Serbian border in the company of his nephew. they were detained by Serbian Police. The police arrested his nephew when they found a pistol on him and he was transferred to a prison in Serbia. The reporting person was released after being held for a period of 24 hours. DEMONSTRATION Pristina - 27/02 - 1200 hrs. Approximately 2000 people took part in a peaceful protest march organized by the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo. Protesters assembled in front of the "OSCE" building, marched towards the government building, then gathered outside the National Theatre for speeches. No incidents were reported. >>>>>> REGION GNJILANE >>> CRIMINAL INCIDENTS MURDER Carakovce Village, Kamenica - 27/02 - 1800 hrs. The bodies of an elderly Serbian couple, ages 70 and 65, were found inside their residence. Both victims appeared to have been beaten to death. Investigation continuing. ASSAULT Gnjilane - 26/02 - 2355 hrs. A K-Albanian male assaulted a Bulgarian female after an argument. Investigation continuing. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS Pozheran Village, Gnjilane - 27/02 - 1601 hrs. After serving a search warrant on the residence of a K-Albanian male, numerous weapons and approximately 250 grams of heroin were located. The weapons and narcotics were seized and the suspect arrested. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE Kacanik Town - 26/02 - 2240 hrs. A Turkish male was arrested for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. >>> OTHER INCIDENTS/EVENTS TRAFFIC ACCIDENT Kacanik Town - 28/02 - 0015 hrs. An UNMIK vehicle was involved in a single vehicle accident. Two of the occupants received minor injuries. >>>>>> REGION PRIZREN CRIMINAL INCIDENTS GRIEVOUS ASSAULT Guncat Village, Malisevo - 27/02 - 1730 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that five unknown persons assaulted him with wooden sticks, causing an injury to his head. Investigation continuing. OTHER INCIDENTS/EVENTS TRAFFIC ACCIDENT Joglenica Village, Prizren - 27/02 - 2200 hrs. A UN vehicle was involved in a single vehicle accident resulting in minor damage. No injuries were reported. >>>>>> REGION PEC >>> CRIMINAL INCIDENTS ARMED ROBBERY <> Pec - 26/02 - 1935 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that a masked gunman entered his shop and robbed him. Investigation continuing. <> Istok Town - 27/02 - 0100 hrs. Nine to twelve masked gunmen entered the local hospital and stole the safe. Investigation continuing. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON Dakovica Town - 27/02 - 0320 hrs. During a vehicle search conducted by UNMIK Police, a pistol was located and four K-Albanian male suspects arrested. >>>>>> REGION MITROVICA >>> CRIMINAL INCIDENTS ARMED ROBBERY Leposavic Town - 24/02 - 1830 hrs. A K-Serbian male truck driver reported that, on the road between Pristina and Leposavic, he was attacked by four unknown males who robbed him. The victim received minor injuries. No information as to the suspects' ethnicity or weapons was reported. Investigation continuing. ASSAULT Vucitrn Town - 27/02 - 1930 hrs. A K-Albanian female KPS officer reported that an unknown male attacked her while she was walking to her residence. The KPS officer was unharmed. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON Miljic Village, Leposavic - 27/02 - 1100 hrs. One male suspect, ethnicity unknown, was arrested by KFOR after a search discovered a rifle and ammunition. >>> OTHER INCIDENTS/EVENTS DEMONSTRATION Mitrovica South - 27/02 - 0945 - 1100 hrs. Approximately twenty-five K-Albanian employees of "SHALA" held a peaceful demonstration in protest of UNMIK's use of certain buildings. No incidents were reported. >>>>>> BORDER POLICE <> PRISTINA AIRPORT FALSE PASSPORTS 26/02. A K-Albanian was found to be in possession of a false passport, which was seized. <> DENERAL JANKOVIC FALSE PASSPORTS 26/02.
