Pec Region : K-Albanian male shot and injured by K-Albanian bar owner. Mitrovica Region: Explosion at K-Albanian residence. Minor damages. PRISTINA Region =============== :: MURDER :: Pristina - 31/12 - 0330 hrs. A K-Albanian male died of injuries that he sustained after a shooting. UNMIK Police arrested two K-Albanian male and three female suspects. A pistol together with ammunition was recovered from the suspects. No further information given. DEMONSTRATION Plementina Village, Obilic - 31/12 - 1220 hrs. A group of approximately 100 K-Serbs gathered at the train station in protest against the insecure environment and threats on their lives and property following the murder of a K-Serb on 29/12. The demonstration ended peacefully after an assurance of more security from the authorities. GNJILANE Region =============== :: GRIEVOUS ASSAULT :: Vitina Town - 31/12 - 1630 hrs. Three K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police after severely assaulting another K-Albanian male. The victim received injuries to his nose. ASSAULT Sadovine Village, Vitina - 31/12 - 1130 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after beating his father. No injuries were reported. CRIMINAL DAMAGE Gnjilane - 31/12 - 2140 hrs. Two K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police after being involved in a bar fight. During the incident, chairs and windows of the establishment were broken. No injuries were reported. THEFT Gnjilane- 31/12 - 1240 hrs. Five K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police for theft of electrical cables. PRIZREN Region ============== :: FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT :: Orahovac Road, Prizren - 31/12 - 1300 hrs. Two passenger cars driven and occupied by K-Albanians collided. Five persons were injured in the accident. A 5-year-old girl died on the way to Pristina hospital. Three other injured persons were hospitalised and reported to be in satisfactory condition. UNMIK Police arrested one of the drivers, a K-Albanian male. PEC Region ========== :: ATTEMPTED MURDER :: Dakovica Town - 30/12 - 1920 hrs. A K-Albanian male bar owner was arrested by UNMIK Police after he shot one of his K-Albanian male patrons twice. The victim received gunshot wounds to the left thigh and shoulder. The extents of the injuries were not reported. GRENADE ATTACK Dakovica Town - 30/12 2135 hrs. Unknown suspect(s) threw a hand grenade into the yard of a K-Albanian male causing damage to the victim's car. No injuries were reported. THREATS / INTIMIDATION Luboshda Village, Istok - 31/12 - 1200 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after he made threats towards his wife and children. MITROVICA Region ================ :: EXPLOSION :: Mitrovica North - 01/01/01 - 0030 hrs. An explosion occurred at a residence in "Little Bosnia" (Confidence Zone Area), causing damages to windows. No injuries were reported. No further information given. ARMED ROBBERY Vucitrn Town - 30/12 - 2100 hrs. Three unknown persons, one of them armed with a pistol, robbed a K-Albanian male of cash. No injuries were reported. BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- FALSE PASSPORT / FALSE DOCUMENTS 30/12 - 1330 hrs. Two K-Albanians were detained when they attempted to exit Kosovo on false passports. The documents were seized and the subjects were released. * 29/12 - 1530 hrs. A K-Albanian male was detained after he attempted to enter Kosovo on a false drivers license that was seized. The subject was processed and entry denied. * 30/12. A K-Albanian male was detained after he attempted to exit Kosovo using a false passport and drivers license. The documents were seized and exit was denied. DENERAL JANKOVIC ---------------- STOLEN PASSPORTS GR: EM 250 655) - 29/12 - 1550 hrs. Two K-Albanian males attempted to exit Kosovo on stolen passports. The passports were seized and the subjects were processed and released. VRBNICA ------- FALSE DOCUMENTS 30/12 - 0915 HRS. Two K-Albanian males were detained after they attempted to cross the border each using a false passports and drivers licenses. The documents were seized and the subjects were released. CAFA PRUSHIT ------------ ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING 30/12 - 1605 hrs. Three Albanian males were detained after they were observed crossing the border through a minefield, alongside a van.
