Weapons recovered. Mitrovica Region <> K-Serbs attacked by a group of K-Albanians. >>>>>> REGION PRISTINA >>> CRIMINAL INCIDENTS ATTEMPTED MURDER Pristina - 03/01 - 2322 hrs. A K-Albanian male was shot once in the lower abdomen by his neighbor, a K-Albanian male. The victim was admitted to Pristina Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The suspect apparently fled the scene and is currently being sought by police. Investigation continuing. BURGLARY Pristina - 03/01 - 0131 hrs. The accommodation of an employee of the "International Rescue Committee" was burglarized. A cellular telephone and 100 US dollars was taken. The employee is currently on leave and was not home at the time of the occurrence. Investigation continuing. >>> OTHER INCIDENTS/EVENTS DEAD BODY FOUND Podujevo Town - 04/01 - 1030 hrs. The dead body of an infant was found at a garbage dumpsite. The victim's age was estimated at 3 to 4 months. The body was apparently placed in a garbage container that was emptied at the site. The cause of death is unknown at this time. Investigation continuing. >>>>>> REGION GNJILANE >>> CRIMINAL INCIDENTS FALSE IMPRISONMENT/DOMESTIC ABUSE Gnjilane Town - 04/01 - 1600 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that his sister was being held against her will by a K-Albanian male she had been living with since August. The suspect had threatened the victim with an AK-47 rifle. UNMIK police responded and rescued the victim, who bore signs of a recent beating. The victim returned to her to her family and the suspect was arrested. THEFT Lagjaere, Village, Kacanik - 02/01 2000 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after stealing a handbag from a local residence. RECKLESS DRIVING Gnjilane - 04/01 - 0410 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he was seen driving through town at a high rate of speed. >>> OTHER INCIDENTS/EVENTS LAND MINE EXPLOSION Drenusha Village, Kacanik - 03/01 - 1340 hrs. A K-Albanian male apparently stepped on a land mine while tending his cows. The victim lost his left foot and received injuries to his right leg in the blast. TRAFFIC ACCIDENT Urosevac Town, - 03/01 - 1645 hrs. An UNMIK vehicle and a civilian vehicle were involved in a collision. The K-Albanian female driver of the civilian vehicle was injured but no information as to the extent was reported. Investigation continuing. >>>>>> REGION PRIZREN >>> CRIMINAL INCIDENTS ATTEMPTED RAPE Prizren - 04/01 - 2130 hrs. A K-Albanian female reported that her uncle, who she had gone to visit, called her into a room where another K-Albanian male grabbed her and pushed her to the floor. She screamed and a friend of hers came to her assistance. They managed to run away to a neighbor's house and reported the incident to UNMIK Police. No injuries were reported. The incident is under investigation. GREIVOUS ASSAULT Prizren - 04/01 - 1740 hrs. A quarrel between two K-Albanian male neighbors over rubbish in front of their houses resulted in a fistfight and the stabbing with a knife of one of them. The victim collapsed at the scene. He was rushed to hospital where his condition was reported to be critical. Investigation continuing. THEFT Prizren - 04/01 - 0800 hrs. Two Goran male residents of Belgrade that ran taxi services between Belgrade and Dragash reported that uniformed "TMK" soldiers stopped their mini vans and took from them motor vehicle registration plates without giving any explanation. One suspect was arrested. Investigation continuing. THREATS/CRIMINAL DAMAGE Prizren - 04/01 - 1325 hrs. A K-Albanian female reported that her neighbor, a K-Albanian male, forced open her door, broke a window with a wooden stick and then threatened her with an axe. The suspect was arrested. No injuries were reported. ARSON Zur Village, Prizren - 03/01 - 1100 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that unknown persons set fire to his stables. No injuries were reported. Investigation continuing. >>>>>> REGION PEC >>> CRIMINAL INCIDENTS ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPONS * Jossanica Village, Klina - 04/01 - 0545 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after a search of his home by KFOR revealed that he was in possession of one "SKS" rifle, one semi automatic rifle, one pistol, a gas mask and ten rounds of ammunition. * Jossanica Village, Klina - 04/01 - 0545 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after a house search by KFOR revealed that he was in possession of one "Scorpion" sub machine gun, two silencers, and four rounds of ammunition. ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING Dakovica Town, Pec - 03/01 - 1200 hrs. A K-Albanian male was injured when he accidentally shot himself in the leg while playing with a pistol. The extent of the victim's injuries is unknown at this time. Investigation continuing. >>>>>> REGION MITROVICA >>> CRIMINAL INCIDENTS THEFT Zubin Potok Town - 04/01 - 0950 hrs. A K-Serbian male director of the local bus driver's union reported that unknown persons stole the mobile office in which they had been operating. Investigation continuing. ASSAULT Mitrovica North - 04/01 - 1030 hrs. Three K-Serbian males reported that a group of about 15 K-Albanian males threw rocks at them in "Little Bosnia." One KFOR soldier who tried to intervene was struck in the hand. Three persons were detained by later released. Investigation continuing. >>>>>> BORDER POLICE <> PRISTINA AIRPORT FALSE PASSPORTS * 03/01. One K-Albanian female was detained when she attempted to enter Kosovo with a false passport. The document was seized and the subject was released. * 03/01. Two K-Albanian males were detained after they attempted to exit Kosovo while in possession of false passports. The documents were seized and the subjects released. <> GENERAL JANKOVIC STOLEN PASSPORT * 03/01. Two K-Albanian males attempted to exit Kosovo by presenting stolen passports. The passports were seized and the subjects processed and released. * 03/01. One K-Albanian male attempted to enter Kosovo using a stolen passport. The document was seized and the subject released. FALSE PASSPORT 02/01. Three K-Albanian males attempted to enter Kosovo and presented Yugoslavian passports with altered extension dates. The passports were seized and the subjects processed and released. FRAUDULENT PASSPORT 03/01. One K-Albanian male attempted to exit Kosovo by using another person's passport. The passport was seized and the subject released. NO REGISTRATION 03/01. One K-Albanian male was stopped while driving a vehicle with no registration. The vehicle was seized. <> CAFA PRUSHIT ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING 03/01. Four Albanian males attempted to exit Kosovo illegally through the minefields. Three subjects were expelled to Albania and one was denied exit from Kosovo. ALTERED DOCUMENT 03/01. One K-Albanian male attempted to enter Kosovo with an altered Albanian drivers license. The document was seized and entry denied. DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED 03/01. One K-Albanian male who attempted to exit Kosovo in his vehicle was found to be intoxicated.
