Pec Region : Numerous explosions damage buildings. No injuries reported Mitrovica Region: K-Albanian male shot in the ankle by another K-Albanian male. PRISTINA Region =============== :: ARMED ROBBERY :: Sofali Village, Pristina - 18/01 - 2200 hrs. A K-Albanian male returning home surprised three masked male suspects burglarizing his house. One suspect fired a shot from a handgun at him without hitting or injuring the victim. The suspects fled with an undetermined amount of jewelry and currency. KIDNAPPING Pristina - 18/01 - 0340 hrs. Two unknown armed suspects forced a K-Albanian male into a vehicle. After demanding a ransom, the suspects released the victim. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS Podujevo Town - 18/01 - 1815 hrs. A K-Albanian female was arrested by UNMIK Police after a search of her residence resulted in the seizure of several packets of a substance believed to be heroin. GNJILANE Region =============== :: GRENADE ATTACK :: Urosevac Town - 18/01 - 0030 hrs. Unknown suspects(s) threw a hand grenade at a K-Albanian owned electrical shop. The explosion caused only property damage; no injuries were reported. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON Zhegra Village, Gnjilane - 18/01 - 1330 hrs. Two K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police after they were found to be in possession of a shotgun and a knife. The weapons were seized. ASSAULT Goden-Stubla Village, Vitina - 18/01 - 2130 hrs. UNMIK Police arrested a K-Albanian male after he had assaulted his K-Albanian wife. No injuries were reported. PRIZREN Region ============== :: ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPONS :: * Sopi Village, Suva Reka - 18/01 - 1430 hrs. UNMIK Police arrested three K-Albanian males after a search of a grain store revealed 7 rockets with chargers, one RPG rocket launcher, one disposable rocket launcher, two machine guns(one light/one heavy), two hand grenades, two magazines for an assault rifle and ammunition. * Orahovac Town - 18/01 - 0500 hrs. A search of three K-Albanian residences conducted by UNMIK Police resulted in the recovery of an assault rifle, a pistol, two magazines and ammunition. Two K-Albanian male suspects were arrested. POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS Prizren - 17/01 - 2250 hrs. Two K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police after they were found to be in possession of an unknown type of narcotic substance. PEC Region ========== :: EXPLOSION :: * Gurakoc Village, Istok - 14/01 - 2345 hrs. A former K-Serbian residence was damaged by an explosion, which caused also minor damage to nearby buildings. No injuries were reported. * Istok Town - 14/01 - 2345 hrs. A kiosk was totally destroyed by an explosion, which caused also minor damage to nearby buildings. No injuries were reported. * Pec - 19/01 - 0115 hrs. A K-Albanian house was heavily damaged by an explosion. No injuries were reported. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPONS * Dakovica Town - 18/01 - 1200 hrs. During a joint search operation performed by UNMIK and KFOR, a K-Albanian male was found to be in possession of six hand grenades. UNMIK Police arrested the suspect and seized the items. * Krstove Village, Pec - 18/01 - 1400 hrs. During a search operation a K-Albanian male was found to be in possession of three rifles, a gas mask and ammunition. MITROVICA Region ================ :: GRIEVOUS ASSAULT :: Mikusnica Village, Srbica - 17/01 - 1130 hrs. A known K-Albanian male shot another K-Albanian male in his ankle after an argument. The offender and the victim know each other and had already several verbal and physical fights in the past. The victim was hospitalised. The suspect is still at large. ARMED ROBBERY Mitrovica South - 18/01 - 1730 hrs. Two unknown armed male suspects robbed two K-Albanian males of cash, a leather jacket and jewelry. No injuries were reported. BURGLARY Mitrovica South - 18/01 - 0430 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after he was found carrying goods stolen from a shop. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPON Mitrovica South - 18/01 - 1000 hrs. A K-Serb male was arrested by UNMIK Police after he was found to be in possession of a pistol with three magazines, two grenades and four loaded machinegun magazines. HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT Brocnja Village, Srbica - 18/01 - 1130 hrs. A seven-year-old K-Albanian boy was struck and injured by a vehicle that failed to stop. The extents of the injuries were not reported. BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- FALSE PASSPORT 17/01. Ten K-Albanians attempted to pass through the airport by presenting false passports, which were seized. GENERAL JANKOVIC ---------------- FALSE PASSPORT 17/01. Four K-Albanians attempted to cross the border by presenting false passports, which were seized. THREATS / INTIMIDATION 17/01. A K-Albanian male threatened an UNMIK Police officer when he was detained because he had no driver's license or registration documents for his vehicle.
