Gnjilane Region : Two K-Albanian males arrested for theft of jewelry. Prizren Region : Three K-Albanian males arrested for assault of K-Bosnian male. Pec Region : K-Albanian owned shop destroyed by explosion. No injuries. Mitrovica Region: K-Albanian male robbed of tractor at gunpoint. No injuries. PRISTINA Region =============== :: ARSON :: Stimlje Village, Lipljan - 19/01 - 0300 hrs. Unknown person(s) set an unoccupied Ashkali residence on fire. KFOR and UNMIK Police brought the fire under control. No injuries were reported. SHOOTINGS Podujevo - 19/01 - 2000 hrs. Unidentified gunmen fired four shots at a factory after they were refused entry onto the premises. No injuries were reported. GNJILANE Region =============== :: THEFT :: Gnjilane AOR - 18/01- 2300hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that another K-Albanian male had stolen some jewelry on 11/01/01. The suspect then sold the jewelry to other jewelry stores. UNMIK Police arrested one suspect and later recovered the gold. Further investigations resulted in the arrest of another K-Albanian male. PRIZREN Region ============== :: ASSAULT / THREATS :: Gronje Selo Village, Prizren - 19/01 - 1030 hrs. Three K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police for threatening and assaulting a handicapped K-Bosnian male. No injuries were reported. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION Suva Reka Town - 19/01 - 0930 hrs. UNMIK Police arrested a K-Albanian male after he was found in possession with of illegal ammunition during a vehicle check. THEFT Malisevo Town - 18/01 - 1200 hrs. Three K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police for stealing a wallet from a K-Albanian schoolboy. SMUGGLING Dragash Town - 19/01 - 0630 hrs. A K-Goran male was arrested by UNMIK Police for smuggling of cigarettes, which were confiscated together with his vehicle. DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL Prizren -18/01 - 2250 hrs. A highly intoxicated K-Turkish male was arrested by UNMIK Police for dangerous driving and driving under influence. PEC Region ========== :: EXPLOSION :: Pec Town - 19/01 - 0115 hrs. An explosion occurred in a K-Albanian owned shop. The explosion caused only property damage; no injuries were reported. ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING Pec Town - 19/01 - 0215 hrs. Four K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police for illegally crossing the border. MITROVICA Region ================ :: ARMED ROBBERY :: Mitrovica North - 19/1 - 1830 hrs. Unknown armed K-Serb males robbed a K-Albanian male of his tractor. No injuries were reported. No further information given. BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- ALTERED/STOLEN PASSPORTS 18/01. Six K-Albanians attempted to exit Kosovo using either altered or stolen passports. The exit was denied and the documents seized. GENERAL JANKOVIC ---------------- STOLEN PASSPORTS 18/01. Three K-Albanians attempted to cross the border with stolen passports. The documents were seized and the subjects released into Kosovo. CAFA PRUSHIT ------------ ALTERED PASSPORT 18/01. One Albanian attempted to enter Kosovo using an altered passport.
