Gnjilane Region : Multiple grenade attacks on K-Serbian homes. One injured. Prizren Region : Armed robbery of Kosovo Electric Company. No injuries. Pec Region : KPS Officers assaulted by K-Albanian males. One injured. Mitrovica Region: K-Albanian males the victim of murder attempt. Minor injuries. PRISTINA Region =============== :: ATTEMPTED MURDER :: Pristina - 23/01 - 1930 hrs. Two unknown male suspects attacked an international employee of "OSCE" (nationality not reported), striking the victim in the head with an iron pipe as he attempted to enter his accommodation after work. The suspects then fled. The victim was treated for his injuries. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. GNJILANE Region =============== :: GRENADE ATTACK :: * Vitina Town - 23/01 - 0010 hrs. Unknown suspect(s) threw hand grenades at two occupied K-Serb houses. The explosions caused only minor property damage; no injuries were reported. * Vitina Town - 23/01 - 1920 hrs. Unidentified suspects threw two hand grenades at an occupied K-Serb house. A K-Serb female was injured and transported in stable condition to Gnjilane hospital. GRIEVOUS ASSAULT Gnjilane - 22/01 - 1900 hrs. An unknown suspect struck with his car the motor vehicle of a K-Albanian male driving in front of him. When the owner of the car stopped to observe the damage, the offender stopped his car and assaulted the victim by stabbing him with a knife. Afterwards the suspect fled the scene. The victim was transported in serious condition to the hospital. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF DRUGS Urosevac Town - 23/01- 1715 hrs. Three K-Albanian males were stopped by UNMIK Police at a checkpoint and found in possession of a substance believed to be Hashish. All three suspects were arrested. UXO FOUND Vitina Town - 23/01 - 1440 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported to UNMIK Police that school children found 4 hand grenades in a K-Serbian field. KFOR EOD was tasked and secured the scene. No injuries were reported. PRIZREN Region ============== :: ARMED ROBBERY :: Prizren - 23/01- 0910 hrs. A small group of unidentified armed males entered a building of Kosovo Electric Company, tied two K-Albanian male employees up and placed them in the basement. The forcibly opened a safe and took cash from it. No injuries were reported. THREATS / INTIMIDATION Prizren - 23/01 - 1028 hrs. An UNMIK Police officer was threatened via telephone from a K-Albanian male in reference to a crime investigation. The suspect was arrested by UNMIK Police. PEC Region ========== :: ASSAULT :: Klina Town - 23/01 - 2010 hrs. Three K-Albanian males were arrested after assaulting KPS Officers who were on duty at Klina Police Station. A female KPS Officer was slightly injured by one of the suspects. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPONS Pec - 23/01 - 0830 hrs. A search of seven K-Albanian homes by UNMIK Police (Spanish SPU) revealed a large cache of weapons including a grenade launcher, grenades, pistols, rifles, ammunition and magazines. Two K-Albanian males were arrested. THEFT Pec - 22/01 - 1420 hrs. Three K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police after stealing construction materials from a local site. ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING Dakovica Town - 22/01- 1830 hrs. Five K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police for illegal border crossing. MITROVICA Region ================ :: ATTEMPTED MURDER :: Srbica Town - 23/01 - 1930 hrs. Two unknown male suspects who were armed with pistols and an iron pipe accosted two K-Albanian males as they walked a roadway. The suspects began to strike one of the victims with the pipe and as the victims ran, the suspects began to shoot at them with pistols. The victim who was beaten with the iron pipe sustained minor injuries. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- FALSE PASSPORTS 22/01. Five K-Albanians attempted to pass through the airport with false passports, which were seized. GENERAL JANKOVIC ---------------- FALSE PASSPORT 22/01. A K-Albanian attempted to cross the border with a false passport, which was seized. VRBNICA ------- FALSE PASSPORTS 22/01. Two K-Albanians attempted to cross the border with false passports, which were seized. CAFA PRUSHIT ------------ FALSE PASSPORT 22/01. One Albanian attempted to cross the border with a false passport, which was seized. ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING 22/01. Two Albanians attempted to cross the border illegally and were returned to Albania.
