Gnjilane Region : K-Albanian home damaged by explosion. No injuries reported. Prizren Region : Six K-Serbs houses damaged by explosions. No injuries reported. Pec Region : Gunfire damages windows of K-Albanian shop. No injuries reported. Mitrovica Region: K-Albanian female threatened by 4 unknown K-Serbs. No injuries. PRISTINA Region =============== :: KIDNAPPING :: Stimlje Village, Lipljan - 24/01 - 1530 hrs. A 7-year-old K-Albanian boy was abducted by a group of unknown suspects while walking on the street. The suspects demanded a cash ransom from the parents of the victim. The boy was brought to a house but later managed to escape unharmed. While he was fleeing he recognized a house of a KPS officer and asked for help. The KPS officer brought him to Lipljan Station. UNMIK Police raided the hide-out and arrested 3 suspects (ethnicity not reported). The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. GRIEVOUS ASSAULT Pristina - 24/01 - 1505 hrs. A known K-Albanian male stabbed another K-Albanian male once in the head with a knife after an argument turned into a physical fight. The victim was treated for his injuries at a local hospital. No arrest of the suspect reported yet. GNJILANE Region =============== :: EXPLOSION :: Uglare Village, Gnjilane - 24/01 - 1745 hrs. An unknown person threw a homemade bomb at a K-Albanian house. The explosion caused only minor property damage. No injuries were reported. PRIZREN Region ============== :: EXPLOSIONS :: Velika Hodja Village, Orahovac - 24/01 - 2200 hrs. Explosive devices damaged six K-Serb owned houses (4 abandoned, 2 occupied), two of which were occupied. No injuries were reported. UNMIK Police is investigating the case together with KFOR EOD. MURDER/SUICIDE Prizren - 24/01 - 0430 hrs. A K-Albanian female shot her K-Albanian husband with a firearm in the head and then used the same weapon to kill herself. The husband victim was rushed to hospital in Pristina but died shortly thereafter. The wife died at the scene. The circumstances of the incident especially the motive are under investigation. PEC Region ========== :: CRIMINAL DAMAGE :: Rznic Village, Decani - 23/01 - 2345 hrs. Unknown person(s) fired several shots at a K-Albanian owned shop and damaged the windows. No injuries were reported. ASSAULT Dakovica Town - 23/01 - 1045 hrs. A K-Albanian male assaulted a K-Albanian female while she was parking her vehicle on the street. No injuries were reported. MITROVICA Region ================ :: THREATS/INTIMIDATION :: * Mitrovica North - 24/01 - 1000 hrs. A K-Albanian female reported that four unknown K-Serbs in a motor vehicle threatened to kill her for living on the northern side. No injuries were reported. * Vucitrn Town - 24/01 - 2200 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that his brother was threatening to kill his family. UNMIK Police arrested the suspect and confiscated a machine gun. ASSAULT * Leposavic Town - 24/01 - 2000 hrs. A K-Serb male reported that his son and daughter beat him up. UNMIK Police found and confiscated an assault rifle and ammunition at the victim's residence. No arrests or injuries were reported. * Srbica Town - 24/01 1900 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested for assaulting a male KPS Officer during the discharge of his duties. No injuries were reported. BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT --------------- FALSE PASSPORTS 23/01. Four K-Albanians attempted to pass through the airport with false passports, which were seized. GENERAL JANKOVIC ---------------- FALSE PASSPORTS 23/01. Three K-Albanians attempted to cross the border with false passports, which were seized. VRBNICA ------- FALSE PASSPORTS 23/01. One K-Albanian attempted to cross the border with a false passport, which was seized. CAFA PRUSHIT ------------ ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING 23/01.
