Gnjilane Region : Four K-Serbs injured in grenade attack. Prizren Region : Unknown person(s) steal cash from the Post Offices. Pec Region : Fifteen-year-old K-Albanian male killed in car crash. Mitrovica Region: Two premises shot at. No injuries. PRISTINA Region =============== :: SHOOTING :: Pristina - 26/01 - 1230 hrs. A 22-year-old K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after an assault rifle he was playing with in his residence accidentally discharged. The discharged bullet wounded a 24-year-old K-Albanian female in the abdomen and her 25-year-old K-Albanian male in the leg. Both victims were inside the suspects' home at the time of the incident. Both victims were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON Glogovac Town - 26/01 - 155 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after he attempted to enter the Municipality Court Building with a loaded handgun. ARSON Pristina - 26/01 - 1400 hrs. A male prisoner (ethnicity unknown) at the Pristina Detention Center set fire to his holding cell. The prisoner was immediately removed from the cell so the fire could be extinguished when he became physically combative towards staff. The prisoner was re-secured in another cell and the fire was brought under control. Minor property damages and no injuries were reported. GNJILANE Region =============== :: GRENADE ATTACK :: Vitina Town - 26/01 - 1750 hrs. Four K-Serbian males sustained minor injuries after a unknown male suspect threw two hand grenades into a K-Serb shop occupied by the victims. Two victims were transported to the hospital and released after treatment; the two others refused to go for medical treatment. The shop was moderately damaged. No arrests were reported yet. EXPLOSION Cernice Village, Gnjilane - 26/01 - 2015 hrs. An abandoned K-Serb house was completely destroyed; two others sustained minor damages by an unknown type of explosion. No injuries were reported. ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION Gnjilane - 22/01 - 1815 hrs. Two K-Serbian males reported that while they were driving on a road two other vehicles blocked their vehicle. The suspects occupying the two vehicles attempted to abduct the victims who managed to escape and notify UNMIK Police. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON Urosevac Town - 25/01 - 1155 hrs. Two K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police after they were found in possession of two semi-automatic pistols and ammunition. ASSAULT * Vitina Town - 26/01 - 1320 hrs. Two K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police after assaulting another K-Albanian male. No injuries were reported. * Urosevac Town - 25/01 - 2330 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after attacking a KFOR soldier who was involved in a search for weapons at a restaurant No injuries were reported. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL * Urosevac Town - 25/01 - 2130 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after he was found to be driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated. * Urosevac Town - 26/01 - 0040 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after he was found to be driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated. FALSE DOCUMENTS Vitina Town - 26/01 - 1030 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after being found in possession of a forged drivers license. PRIZREN Region ============== :: BURGLARY :: * Prizren - 26/01 - Night Time hours. Unknown suspect(s) broke into the Post Offices near the bus station. Two offices were forced open and two cash boxes containing an undisclosed amount of cash were stolen. * Prizren - 25/01 - 1810 hrs. Unknown person(s) broke into a K-Albanian owned house and stole cash. * Prizren - 26/01 - 2310 hrs. A KPS Officer reported that (an) unknown suspect(s) broke into his apartment and stole his service weapon, ammunition and a pair of handcuffs. PEC Region ========== :: FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT :: Rznic Village, Decani - 25/01- 1230 hrs. A 15-year-old K-Albanian male was driving his brother's passenger car when he lost control of the vehicle in a curve and crashed into an electric pole. Local witnesses transported the victim to Decani hospital where the victim was declared dead on arrival. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON Vrella Village, Istok - 26/01 - 1200 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after he was found to be in possession of an assault rifle and ammunition. MITROVICA Region ================ :: CRIMINAL DAMAGE :: * Mitrovica North - 26/01 - 0345 hrs. A K-Serb male reported that unknown persons shot at a window of his shop. No injuries were reported. * Vucitrn - 26/01 - 2130 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that unknown persons shot through the front window of his house. No injuries were reported. BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- FALSE DOCUMENTS 25/01. Eight K-Albanians attempted to exit Kosovo using false documents. The documents were seized and the subjects denied exit. GENERAL JANKOVIC ---------------- FORGED PASSPORT 25/01. One K-Albanian attempted to cross the border into Kosovo with a forged Yugoslavian passport, which was seized. STOLEN PASSPORT 25/01. A K-Albanian male attempted to leave Kosovo using a stolen passport. The document was seized and exit denied. VRBNICA ------- FALSE DOCUMENT 25/01. A K-Albanian male attempted to cross the border using a false Albanian passport. The document was seized. CAFA PRUSHIT ------------ ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING 25/01.
