Gnjilane Region : Three K-Albanians arrested for possession of weapons. Prizren Region : Three K-Albanian males arrested for possession of drugs. Pec Region : UNMIK Police and KFOR recover several weapons. Mitrovica Region: K-Albanian male shot and injured in the arm from a vehicle. PRISTINA Region =============== :: MURDER :: Pristina - 27/01 - 2000 hrs. The dead body of an unidentified male was found near a local school. The victim had been stabbed multiple times. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ASSAULT Plementina Village, Kosovo Polje - 27/01 - 0900 hrs. A K-Serb male assaulted the Danish driver of a UNHCR bus when he was told he could not ride the bus because all seats were already occupied. When a nearby KFOR unit interfered the suspect fled and could not be apprehended. The driver received minor injuries. THREATS / INTIMIDATION Obilic Village, Kosovo Polje - 27/01 - 1455 hrs. An OSCE official was chased in his vehicle and intimidated by TMK members after he photographed their installation while carrying out his duties. No injuries were reported. Investigation continuing. GNJILANE Region =============== :: ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPONS :: * Urosevac - 27/01 - 0212hrs. UNMIK Police stopped a vehicle on a routine traffic violation and found that the driver was in possession of an illegal weapon. The weapon was confiscated and the suspect arrested. * Kamenica - 27/01 - 1730hrs. UNMIK Police and KFOR searched two houses and found the owners in possession of several illegal weapons, which were confiscated. Two suspects, a K-Roma male and a K-Serb male were arrested. PRIZREN Region ============== :: ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF DRUGS :: Malisevo Town - 27/01 - 1900 hrs. Three K-Albanian males were arrested at a KFOR checkpoint after they were found in possession of an unknown quantity of a substance believed to be Marijuana. PEC Region ========== :: ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPONS :: * Dakovica Town - 27/01 - 0830 hrs. A search of three K-Albanian owned houses resulted in the recovery of an assault rifle and a pistol. No arrests were reported. * Vitomirica Town - 25/01 - 1130 hrs. A search of a K-Albanian owned house resulted in the recovery of an AK-47 assault rifle with 16 rounds of ammunition. The suspect claimed the weapon belongs to a neighbor presently living in Germany. No arrests were reported. * Mrasor Village, Klina - 26/01 - 1500 hrs. A K-Albanian male handed over to UNMIK Police a semi automatic rifle with ammunition after he was questioned about the weapon during an investigation. No arrests were reported. UXO FOUND * Drenovac Village, Decani - 26/01 - 1300 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that he saw a grenade on the side of the road. KFOR EOD disposed of the device. No injuries were reported. * Ljubusa Village, Decani - 26/01 - 1630 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that he found a grenade in a field near the village. KFOR EOD confirmed that it was an active AF17 Yugoslavian grenade. The device was disposed of. No injuries were reported. MITROVICA Region ================ :: ATTEMPTED MURDER :: Mitrovica South - 27/01 - 1720 hrs. When a K-Albanian male purchased items from a store a car with two unknown occupants stopped next to him. One suspect fired one round at the victim with a pistol, hitting him in the upper arm. The suspects fled the scene in highspeed. The victim was transported to the Morrocan hospital where his wound was described as not critical. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ASSAULT Mitrovica North - 27/01 - 1436 hrs. A K-Albanian male was assaulted by five unknown K-Serb males. As the suspects left the scene the fired two shots into the air. The victim sustained minor injuries. BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- FALSE DOCUMENTS 26/01. A K-Albanian male attempted to exit Kosovo using a false Yugoslavian passport. The document was seized and exit denied. GENERAL JANKOVIC ---------------- STOLEN PASSPORT 26/01. Three K-Albanian males attempted to leave Kosovo using stolen passports. The documents were seized and exit denied. VRBNICA ------- FALSE DOCUMENT 26/01. Two K-Albanian males attempted to cross the border using false documents. The documents were seized. CAFA PRUSHIT ------------ ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING 26/01.
