Gnjilane Region : K-Albanian male arrested for abducting and raping International female. Prizren Region : Four K-Albanian males arrested for theft. Pec Region : K-Albanian male killed in shooting at nightclub. Two others injured. Mitrovica Region: K-Albanian male assaulted and injured by a group of K-Serbs. PRISTINA Region =============== :: ASSAULT :: Lipljan Town - 28/01 - 1502 hrs. An on-duty UNMIK Police officer observed a K-Albanian male damaging his personal vehicle. When the officer started to question the suspect he was approached and assaulted by four K-Albanian males whose interference allowed the suspect to escape. UNMIK Police arrested later three suspects. No injuries were reported. GNJILANE Region =============== :: ABDUCTION/RAPE :: * Gnjilane - 28/01 - 0030 hrs. A known K-Albanian male forced a female United States citizen into his car. He drove to an unknown location and raped the female. The suspect was later arrested although he tried to drive over some KPS officers and attempted to resist the arrest. During the arrest the suspect sustained minor injuries. At the time of the arrest the victim was still with the suspect. The victim sustained no additional injuries. * Urosevac Town - 27/01 - 1830 hrs. Three K-Albanian males abducted two young K-Albanian females(16, 17 years) in Stimlje area and took them to a flat in Urosevac belonging to one of the suspects. There one of the females was raped by one suspect at knifepoint. The victim received additional injuries. UNMIK Police arrested the suspects. ARMED ROBBERY Rakaj Village, Kacanik - 28/01 - 1910 hrs. Three unknown males entered the home of an German employee of the NGO " Die Johanniter" and robbed him of cash, documents and a mobile phone at gunpoint. The suspects fled the scene with a passenger car. No injuries were reported. ROAD BLOCK Gotovusa Village, Strpce - 28/01 - 1225 hrs. A group of approximately 150 K-Serbs blocked the road in protest of another K-Serb male being taken to the station for questioning. The matter was resolved peacefully when the subject was returned after questioning. PRIZREN Region ============== :: THEFT :: Prizren - 28/01 - 0945 hrs. Four K-Albanian males were arrested by UNMIK Police after they were found in possession of items that were reported stolen. PEC Region ========== :: MURDER :: Dakovica Town - 28/01 - 0030 hrs. Unknown persons armed with handguns and assault rifles entered a local club and open fire at 3 K-Albanian males, two of them alleged active members of TMK. A 19-year-old K-Albanian male died at the spot, two others sustained non-life-threatening injuries. They were transported to hospital for medical treatment. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. No arrests were reported. ATTEMPTED MURDER Leskovac Village, Klina - 27/01 - 1500 hrs. A K-Albanian male shot with an assault rifle at his mother during a dispute over the construction of a fence. The victim was wounded in the leg and transported to hospital for medical treatment. UNMIK Police arrested the suspect was arrested and seized the weapon. ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING Vitomirica Village, Pec - 27/01 - 1730 hrs. A K-Albanian male who was drinking with a K-Bosnian male accidentally discharged is illegally owned handgun and wounded the leg of his drinking comrade. The suspect was arrested by UNMIK Police and the weapon seized. The victim was transported to hospital and is listed under stable condition. ASSAULT Decani Town - 27/01 - 1720 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested by UNMIK Police after being involved in a minor traffic accident and assaulting an UNMIK language assistant. ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING Qafa Morina Village, Dakovica - 27/01 - 1810 hrs. Four Albanian males hauling illegally cut wood were arrested by UNMIK Police after crossing the border illegally. MITROVICA Region ================ :: CIVIL UNREST :: Mitrovica North - 28/01 - 1300 hrs. A UNMIK Police foot patrol detected a fight between a group of 50 to 100 K-Albanians and K-Serbs in "Little Bosnia" (confidence zone). Together with the backup of 15 other UNMIK Police officers and KFOR soldiers they tried to ease the situation and brake up the crowd. During the incident an unknown person fired one shot in the air. A K-Albanian male was slightly injured during a fist-fight with his opponents and was transported to the Moroccan hospital. A small group of K-Serbs prepared petrol bombs but were stopped by UNMIK Police officers before being able to use them. Finally the civil unrest could be calmed down by using minimum force. No injuries of UNMIK Police officers or KFOR soldiers were reported. ASSAULT Mitrovica North - 28/01 - 0500 hrs. A K-Albanian male panicked and ran away after observing a group of K-Serbs outside his home. The group chased and assaulted him. UNMIK Police responded to the area and extracted the victim from the group. The victim sustained minor injuries. No arrests were reported. ARMED ASSAULT Vucitrn Town - 28/01 - 1325 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that two known K-Albanian males shot at his home and assaulted him. Neither injuries nor arrests were reported. BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- FALSE DOCUMENTS 27/01. Four K-Albanians attempted to exit Kosovo using false passports. The documents were seized and exit denied. GENERAL JANKOVIC ---------------- ALTERED PASSPORT 27/01 - 1000 hrs. A K-Albanian male attempted to exit Kosovo using an altered passport. The document was confiscated and exit denied. STOLEN PASSPORT 27/01 - 1310 hrs. A K-Albanian male attempted to leave Kosovo using a stolen passport. The document was seized and exit denied. VRBNICA ------- STOLEN PASSPORT 27/01 - 1155 hrs.
