Gnjilane Region : Unoccupied K-Serb residence destroyed in explosion. Prizren Region : K-Bosnian residence robbed by five masked gunmen. No injuries. Pec Region : K-Albanian male arrested for assaulting KFOR soldier. Minor injuries. Mitrovica Region: K-Albanian male killed, two seriously injured in grenade attack. PRISTINA Region =============== :: AUTO THEFT :: * Pristina - 29/01 - 0700 hrs. Unknown person(s) stole a white 4WD motor vehicle belonging to the NGO "Global Development". * Pristina - 29/01 - 0600 hrs. Unknown person(s) stole a white 4WD motor vehicle belonging to the "European Agency for Reconstruction". ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPONS Milosevo Village, Obilic - 29/01 - 1845 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested at a checkpoint after he was found in possession of an illegally owned loaded handgun. The weapon was confiscated. GNJILANE Region =============== :: EXPLOSION :: Mogila Village, Vitina - 30/01 - 0130 hrs. An unoccupied residence belonging to a K-Serb male living in Serbia was totally destroyed by an unknown type of explosion. No injuries were reported. ARSON Urosevac Town - 29/01 - 0700 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after setting fire to another K-Albanian male's apartment. The local Fire Brigade brought the fire under control. The suspect suffered minor burns to the face. The fire destroyed various household properties. ARMED ROBBERY Koshare Village, Urosevac - 29/01 - 0200 hrs. Four armed and masked suspects entered the home of a K-Albanian family male and beat and robbed them. The victims sustained minor injuries and received medical treatment. AUTO THEFT Kamenica Town - 29/01 - 2115 hrs. Four suspects attempted to steal a vehicle belonging to a K-Albanian male. Follow up investigation resulted in the arrest of two K-Serb males. GRENADE ATTACK Don Budriga Village, Gnjilane - 29/01 - 0400 hrs. A grenade explosion occurred in front of an empty kiosk causing only property damage. PRIZREN Region ============== :: ARMED ROBBERY :: Sezair Suroi Village, Prizren - 29/01 - 0230 hrs. Five armed and masked suspects forcibly entered the residence of a K-Bosnian couple and robbed them. No injuries were reported. THREAT/INTIMIDATION Remzi Ademi Village, Prizren - 29/01 - 1315 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested for threatening to kill a K-Albanian female and her friend. No injuries were reported. PEC Region ========== :: ASSAULT :: Skivjane Village, Dakovica - 29/01 - 0040 hrs. A KFOR soldier was assaulted when he stopped a vehicle at a checkpoint. The K-Albanian driver of the vehicle was intoxicated and attacked the soldier. The soldier received minor injuries. The suspect was arrested by KFOR and handed over to UNMIK Police. MITROVICA Region ================ :: MURDER/ATTEMPTED MURDER :: Mitrovica North - 29/01 - 1330 hrs. Unknown person(s) opened fire with pistols and automatic rifles at group of K-Albanians as they watched a K-Albanian house burning down. They also threw two hand grenade into the group. Four injured K-Albanians were transported to the Moroccan hospital, where one K-Albanian male was pronounced dead upon arrival died; two others are in serious condition. GRENADE ATTACK Mitrovica North - 29/01 - 2220 hrs. Unknown person(s) threw a hand grenade into an abandoned home causing minor property damages. No injuries were reported. ASSAULT / CRIMINAL DAMAGE Mitrovica North/South - 29/01 - 1415 hrs. A group of K-Albanians gathered on the East Bridge after a grenade attack in Mitrovica North. During the gathering a train passed and the crowd began to throw stones and rocks at it. UNMIK Police intervened to disperse the crowd and four UNMIK Police Officers sustained minor injuries while executing their duties. Three UNMIK Police vehicles were reported damaged and one "OSCE" vehicle was set ablaze. Danish KFOR responded at the scene and brought after firing tear gas shells the situation under control. No occupants of the train were injured. No arrests were reported. ASSAULT Srbica Town - 29/01 - 1945 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after assaulting three KPS Officers. No injuries were reported. CRIMINAL DAMAGE Srbica Town - 29/01 - 1530 hrs. The Cultural Center sustained moderate damages after a group of approximately 2500 people attempted to force their way into a concert. UNMIK Police managed to control the crowd. Several doors were broken; no injuries were reported. BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- FALSE DOCUMENTS * 28/01. Six K-Albanians attempted to exit Kosovo using false documents. The documents were seized and exit denied. * 27/01. Two K-Albanian males attempted to exit Kosovo using false documents. The documents were seized and exit denied. * 27/01- 1430 hrs. A K-Albanian male attempted to enter Kosovo while in possession of a false Yugoslavian passport. The document was seized. GENERAL JANKOVIC ---------------- STOLEN PASSPORT 28/01. Two K-Albanian males attempted to leave Kosovo using stolen passports. The documents were seized and exit denied. VRBNICA ------- STOLEN PASSPORT 28/01 - 1545 hrs. A K-Albanian male attempted to cross the border using a stolen Yugoslavian passport. The document was seized. CAFA PRUSHIT ------------ ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPON / AMMUNITION 28/01- 1220 hrs. Two K-Albanian males were found with five rounds of ammunition and a knife. The items were confiscated.
