Pec Region : K-Albanian male arrested for trafficking in women. Mitrovica Region: K-Albanian female found dead with gunshot wound to the head. PRISTINA Region =============== ::ATTEMPTED MURDER:: Orlat Village, Glogovac - 08/03 - 2040 hrs. A known K-Albanian male shot another K-Albanian male once in the abdomen. The victim was transported to a local hospital and then to Pristina hospital where his condition is listed as serious. No arrests were reported yet. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPONS * Stimlje Village, Lipljan - 08/03 - 1425 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he was found in possession of a pistol. The weapon was seized. * Stari Rujce Village, Lipljan - 08/03 - 1700 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after a search of his residence resulted in the seizure of a pistol, three hand grenades and an assault rifle with ammunition. PROTEST Pristina - 08/03 - 0900 hrs. Approximately 200 K-Albanians protested in front of the District Court Building demanding the release of three detainees who are being held on a pending court case. The protest ended peacefully approximately 2 hours later. No incidents were reported. GNJILANE Region =============== ::FIRE:: Bustovata Village, Kamenica - 08/03 - 2040 hrs. A K-Albanian owned storage building containing hay was burned under unknown circumstances. The fire brigade extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. BURGLARY Kamenica Town - 07/03 - 2100 hrs. Unknown person(s) broke into a K-Albanian shop and stole several electronic items and a small amount of cash. PRIZREN Region ============== ::ATTEMPTED MURDER:: Suva Reka Town - 08/03 - 0945 hrs. A K-Albanian male entered a restaurant with a pistol and fired one shot at the K-Albanian male owner but missed as the victim hid himself under the table. The suspect reported himself to UNMIK Police and claimed that the victim owes him an amount of money. No physical injuries were reported. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ROBBERY Dragash Town - 07/03 - 2115 hrs. Three unknown masked persons beat a K-Albanian male with sticks and stole a torchlight from him. No physical injuries were reported. BURGLARY Prizren - 08/03 - 0530 hrs. Unknown persons broke into the Vehicle Registration Center and took a box containing blank registration forms and four office stamps. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING Restelica Village, Dragash - 08/03 - 1030 hrs. An Albanian male was arrested for illegally crossing the border into Kosovo without travel and identification documents. The subject was taken to court and later handed over to Albanian border authorities. ASSAULT * Prizren - 07/03 - 2000 hrs. A K-Albanian male hit his father with a sharp object causing him to sustain an injury to his neck. The suspect was arrested. * Prizren - 07/03 -1500 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested for hitting and injuring one of his family members with an iron bar. FALSE DOCUMENT Prizren - 08/03 - 1140 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he presented to UNMIK Police a driving license, which was detected as a forged document. The item was confiscated. PEC Region ========== ::TRAFFICKING IN WOMEN:: Gramocelj Village, Decani - 06/03 - 0900 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested for illegal trafficking in women. No further details available. Investigation continuing. ROBBERY Dakovica Town - 07/03 - 2200 hrs. Two unknown armed persons robbed another K-Albanian male of cash and a leather jacket. When he tried to flee from them, they fired a shot at him, but missed. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPON Skivan Village, Dakovica - 08/03 - 0220 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after a routine search of bar resulted in the seizure of an assault rifle and a pistol. Jablanica Village, Pec - 08/03 - 0900 hrs. After hearing shots of gunfire UNMIK Police searched four houses and recovered one rifle and ammunition from one of the houses. No arrests were reported. MITROVICA Region ================ ::SHOOTING:: Mitrovica South - 08/03 - 1915 hrs. A K-Albanian female died from injuries sustained after being shot in the head. No further information available. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- FALSE VISA 07/03. One K-Albanian attempted to exit Kosovo using a Macedonian passport with a false German visa. The document was seized and exit was refused. FALSE PASSPORT 07/03. Four K-Albanians attempted to exit Kosovo using false passports that were seized. STOLEN PASSPORT 07/03. One K-Albanian attempted to exit Kosovo using a stolen passport that was seized. VRBNICA ------- STOLEN PASSPORT 07/03. One K-Albanian attempted to cross the border into Kosovo using a stolen passport that was seized. FALSE PASSPORT 07/03. One K-Albanian attempted to cross the border using a false passport, which was seized. CAFA PRUSHIT ------------ ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING 07/03.
