Mitrovica Region: Civil unrest in Mitrovica North. =============== PRISTINA Region =============== ::ARMED ROBBERY :: * Pristina - 14/03 - 0430 hrs. Three unknown armed persons entered the 'Park Hotel' and stole a considerable amount of cash. No physical injuries were reported. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. * Lipljan - 14/03 - 1136 hrs. An unknown armed male suspect forced a petrol station attendant to fill up his vehicle without paying. No physical injuries were reported. =============== GNJILANE Region =============== ::ATTEMPTED MURDER:: Cerkez Village, Vitina - 14/03 - 1630 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he attempted to run over another K-Albanian male with his truck. The suspect also fired one round from an assault rifle at the victim as he tried to run away. The assault rifle and ammunition were seized during the arrest. No physical injuries were reported. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ASSAULT Gnjilane - 14/03 - 1905 hrs. UNMIK Police arrested a K-Albanian male for assaulting another K-Albanian male. No physical injuries were reported. CRIMINAL DAMAGE Berivojce Village, Kamenica - 13/03 - 1835 hrs. UNMIK Police detained three K-Albanian males after they cut a main power supply cable, which led to a KFOR camp, with an axe. One suspect was slightly injured by showering sparks, which emitted from the power cable. THEFT Vrnakolo Village, Vitina - 14/03 - 1000 hrs. UNMIK Police arrested two K-Albanian males after they were found in possession of stolen property. ============== PRIZREN Region ============== ::ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON:: Malishevo Town - 14/03 - 1500 hrs. A K-Albanian male, who was arrested on an outstanding warrant, was found in possession of a hand grenade and a knife. KFOR EOD disposed of the device. ROBBERY Prizren - 14/03 - 1100 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he assaulted a Spanish female and removed her gold necklace. No physical injuries were reported. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. THREATENING BEHAVIOR Prizren - 14/03 - 0005 hrs. A British national was arrested for threatening UNMIK Police and KFOR Soldiers. No physical injuries were reported. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL Prizren - 14/03 - 0005 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he was found to be driving while intoxicated. ========== PEC Region ========== ::ATTEMPTED MURDER:: Dakovica Town - 13/03 - 1030 hrs. A K-Albanian male shot at another K-Albanian male with the intent of killing him after a civil dispute. The suspect was arrested. No physical injuries were reported. No further information given. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPONS * Babaj Bokes Village, Dakovica - 13/03 - 1300 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after being found in possession of an assault rifle and ammunition. The weapon and ammunition were confiscated. * Gupeve E Ulet Village, Klina - 14/03 - 0340 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after being found in possession of a hunting rifle. The weapon was confiscated. * Novo Selo Village, Pec - 14/03 - 1500 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after being found in possession of a rifle. The weapon was confiscated. DEAD BODY FOUND Rausic Village, Pec - 14/03 - 1900 hrs. A badly decomposed female body was found in a ditch near the village. Investigation continuing. ================ MITROVICA Region ================ ::CIVIL UNREST/CRIMINAL DAMAGE:: Mitrovica North - 14/03 - 0530 hrs. Three K-Serbs were arrested for illegal possession of weapons. Following the arrest, a crowd of about 150 people gathered in front of the UNMIK Police station and demanded their release. The crowd threw stones at the station causing minor injuries to a KFOR soldier and an UNMIK Police Officer. One UNMIK Police vehicle was set on fire. Some of the demonstrators were observed carrying weapons. The situation was brought under control. GRIEVOUS ASSAULT Mitrovica North - 14/03 - 0930 hrs. Approximately 40 K-Serbians entered a UNMIK Police officer's apartment, hit him with wooden sticks, kicked him in the back and threatened him with a knife. The officer escaped from the mob by jumping out a window. The officer sustained minor injuries. ROBBERY Mitrovica North - 14/03 - Morning hrs. A group of K-Serbians confronted a K-Albanian male and his son and threatened to cut their throats after robbing them of cash and identity documents. No physical injuries were reported. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ASSAULT / EVICTION * Mitrovica North - 14/03 - 1705 hrs. A K-Albanian and female were assaulted by a group of K-Serbians who forced them out of their flat. The victims received minor injuries. * Mitrovica North - 14/03 - 0915 hrs. Approximately 30 K-Serbians entered a K-Albanian male's flat, put a gun to his head and assaulted his wife and daughter. The extent of the injuries was not reported. * Mitrovica North - 14/03 - 0910 hrs. A group of 10 K-Serbians broke into a K-Albanian female's flat and assaulted her and her brother. The extent of the injuries was not reported. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPON Zubin Potok - 13/03 - 1600 hrs. UNMIK Police recovered one machine gun and a shotgun from the home of a K-Serbian male robbery suspect. The weapons were confiscated. OBSTRUCTING A POLICE OFFICER Srbica - 14/03 - 1130 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after disobeying a direct lawful order by KPS officers. No physical injuries were reported. ============= BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- FALSE DOCUMENT 12/03 - 1230 hrs. Two K-Albanians attempted to exit Kosovo using false Yugoslavian passports, which were seized. Exit was denied. VRBNICA ------- ALTERED DOCUMENT 13/03.
