Mitrovica Region: UNMIK Police vehicle slightly damaged by demonstrators. =============== PRISTINA Region =============== ::VEHICULAR HOMICIDE:: LlapushnikVillage, Glogovac - 15/03 - 1600 hrs. An 11-year-old K-Albanian boy died of severe head injuries after he was struck by a motor vehicle driven by a K-Albanian male who failed to stop and render assistance to the victim. The suspect was arrested. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. GRENADE ATTACK Gonia Gusterica Village, Lipljan - 13/03 - 1930 hrs. Unknown person(s) threw a hand grenade at an occupied K-Serbian house causing minor structural damage. No physical injuries were reported. =============== GNJILANE Region =============== ::ASSAULT:: * Pozaranje Village, Vitina - 15/03 - 1600 hrs. UNMIK Police arrested two K-Albanian males after they assaulted two other K-Albanian males who sustained minor injuries. * Gnjilane - 15/03 - (time not reported). UNMIK Police arrested two K-Albanian males after they were found fighting in the street. No physical injuries were reported. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS * Gnjilane - 08/03 - 1400 hrs. UNMIK Police arrested two K-Albanian males after they were found in possession of a quantity of a substance believed to be Heroin. * Urosevac Town - 14/03 - 1800 hrs. UNMIK Police detained two K-Albanian males after they were found to be in possession of a quantity of a substance believed to be Heroin. THEFT Shashare Village, Vitina - 15/03 - 1230 hrs. A K-Serbian male was arrested for theft of poultry. ============== PRIZREN Region ============== ::ARMED ROBBERY:: Rence Village, Prizren - 15/03 - 0300 hrs. A small group of unknown armed male suspects forcibly entered a K-Albanian male's home and struck the owner in the head with a gun. The suspects then fled with the victim's vehicle. The victim sustained minor injuries. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPONS Sisman Village, Prizren - 15/03 - 1500 hrs. An assault rifle, 2 magazines and 2 hand grenades were recovered by UNMIK Police from the home of a K-Albanian male who was arrested on a prior assault charge. The items were confiscated. ASSAULT Malishevo Town - 15/03 - 0800 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he assaulted a KPS Officer who was performing his lawful duties. No physical injuries were reported. ========== PEC Region ========== ::HUMAN REMAINS FOUND:: Klina Town - 15/03 - 0755 hrs. A K-Albanian male found human bones while plowing his field. A female neighbor identified the remains as that of her 72-year-old husband who has been missing since 01-04-99. The subject was identified by personal items on the remains. GRENADE ATTACK Brekoc Village, Dakovica - 15/03 - 0045 hrs. A K-Albanian owned petrol station was attacked with a rocket-propelled grenade. Only minor property damage was reported. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. SUICIDE Omeberde Village, Istok - 15/03 - 1010 hrs. A K-Albanian male was found hanging from a tree in his yard by another K-Albanian male. The victim was removed from the tree and taken to KFOR hospital where the body was examined. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ================ MITROVICA Region ================ ::CRIMINAL DAMAGE:: Mitrovica North - 15/03 - 1855 hrs. An UNMIK Police vehicle was attacked with stones by a group of K-Serbians. The rocks broke the rear window. No physical injuries were reported. DEMONSTRATION Mitrovica North - 15/03 - 1200 hrs - 1247 hrs. Approximately 1000 K-Serbians held a peaceful demonstration. No incidents were reported. DEMONSTRATION UPDATE 14/03/01 Mitrovica North - 14/03 - 1345 hrs. During the civil unrest 21 UNMIK Police officers sustained minor injuries and 7 UNMIK vehicles were damaged by K-Serbians. ROBBERY Mitrovica South - 15/03 - 1040 hrs. A group of unknown K-Serbian males robbed a K-Albanian male of his vehicle. No physical injuries were reported. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ============= BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- FALSE DOCUMENT * 14/03 - 1200 hrs. A K-Albanian attempted to exit Kosovo using a false Yugoslavian passport and Swiss permit of stay, which were seized. Exit was denied. * 14/03 - 1230 hrs. A K-Albanian attempted to exit Kosovo using a false Swiss permit of stay, which was seized. Exit was denied. DENERAL JANKOVIC ---------------- SEIZED VEHICLE 14/03 - 1645 hrs. A K-Albanian had his truck impounded after he failed to produce documentation showing ownership. VRBNICA ------- ALTERED DOCUMENT 14/03 - 0650 hrs. A K-Albanian attempted to cross the border and presented an altered Yugoslavian passport, which was seized. FALSE DOCUMENT * 14/03 - 2030 hrs. A K-Albanian attempted to cross the border using a Yugoslavian passport that a contained a false Schengen visa, which was seized. * 14/03 - 0630 hrs. A K-Albanian attempted to cross the border and was found with a false Yugoslavian drivers license, which was seized. CAFA PRUSHIT ------------ ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING 12/03 - 1610 hrs.
