Mitrovica Region: K-Albanian arrested for possession of illegal weapon. =============== PRISTINA Region =============== ::ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS:: Pristina - 17/03 - 2210 hrs. UNMIK Police arrested three K-Albanian males after they were found in possession of a substance believed to be Hashish and counterfeit currency. FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT Pristina - 17/03 - 1820 hrs. A K-Albanian male pedestrian was killed when a vehicle driven by a K-Albanian male struck him as he walked along a roadside. The driver was detained. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. =============== GNJILANE Region =============== ::SMUGGLING:: Gnjilane - 16/03 - 0530 hrs. UNMIK Police arrested three K-Serbian males for illegally smuggling of more than 3000 cartons of cigarettes into Kosovo. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. ASSAULT * Gnjilane - 16/03 - 1000 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he assaulted a KPS Officer. No physical injuries were reported. * Gnjilane - 16/03 - 1000 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he assaulted his family. No physical injuries were reported. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPONS Pistenik Village, Kacanik - 2300 hrs. Two K-Albanian males were arrested after they were found in possession of 3 assault rifles and ammunition. The items were seized. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL Gnjilane - 16/03 - 0350 hrs. UNMIK Police arrested a K-Albanian male after he was found to be operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. ============== PRIZREN Region ============== ::ASSAULT:: Ljubicevo Village, Prizren - 17/03 - 1900 hrs. A K-Albanian male and his son were hospitalized after other family members assaulted them. The extent of injuries was not reported. No further information given. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. BURGLARY Prizren - 16-17/03 - Time, Not Reported. Unknown suspect(s) broke into a local insurance company and stole a remarkable amount of cash. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL Sahat Kuka Village Prizren - 17/03 - 0000 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. ========== PEC Region ========== ::ACCIDENTAL DEATH:: Dobrosh Village, Dakovica - 17/03 - 1330 hrs. A K-Albanian male was accidentally burnt to death when his house caught fire while burning branches outside. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. GRENADE ATTACK Dakovica Town- 17/03 - 0300 hrs. Unknown suspects threw a hand grenade at a K-Albanian house causing minor structural damage. No physical injuries were reported. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPON Dakovica Town - 16/03 - 2320 hrs. Three K-Albanian males were arrested after the were found in possession of a pistol. THEFT Cremljane Village, Dakovica - 16/03 - 1900 hrs. Two K-Albanian males were arrested for theft of currency from another K-Albanian male. SHOOTING * Pec - 16/03 -2330 hrs. A K-Albanian male security guard at Pec Hospital reported that unknown suspect(s) fired an automatic weapon near the hospital entrance. No physical injuries were reported. * Dakovica Town - 16/03 - 2100 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that his K-Albanian son-in-law came to his house and fired to rounds in the air. Neither injuries nor arrests were reported. TRAFFIC VIOLATION Decani Town - 16/03 - 1740 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested for possessing a false drivers license, which was seized. ================ MITROVICA Region ================ ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPONS Mitrovica South - 16/03 - 1200 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after a search of his car at a traffic stop revealed a bayonet and a further search of his home revealed an assault rifle. The items were sized. BURGLARY Novoselo Village, Vucitrn- 16/03 - 1200 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested for burglary. No further information given. ============= BORDER Police ============= PRISTINA AIRPORT ---------------- FALSE PASSPORTS 16/03. Six K-Albanians attempted to exit Kosovo using false Yugoslavian passports, which were seized. Exit was denied. VRBNICA ------- FALSE PASSPORT 16/03. One K-Albanian citizen attempted to cross into Albanian using a false passport that was seized. ALTERED PASSPORT 16/03. One K-Albanian attempted to cross the border into Kosovo using an altered passport that was seized. CAFA PRUSHIT ------------ ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING 16/03.
