Mitrovica Region <> K-Albanian male robbed by two armed persons. No injuries. >>>>>> REGION PRISTINA >>> CRIMINAL INCIDENTS BURGLARY Pristina - 29/03 - 0200 hrs. Unknown persons broke into an apartment of an international World Health Organization employee, who is currently out of the country. Types of items stolen could not be ascertained. Investigation continuing. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF WEAPON/ FORGERY Pristina - 29/03 - 1500 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after a pistol and six different passport-size photographs plus documents used in the manufacturing of passports were found in his vehicle. The items were seized. Investigation continuing. PROSTITUTION Lipljan Town - 29/03 - 0230 hrs. UNMIK Police detained a K-Albanian male who was found in the company of four Ukrainian female prostitutes. ARSON Pristina - 29/03 - 1500 hrs. Unknown persons set fire to a K-Serbian residence, which is under construction. No injuries were reported. Investigation continuing. >>> OTHER INCIDENTS/EVENTS DEMONSTRATION <> Pristina - 29/03 - 1900 hrs. Approximately 600 people, mostly K-Albanian students, protested against the ongoing conflict in Macedonia. <> Pristina - 29/03 - 1000 hrs. Approximately 70 K-Albanians demonstrated outside the courthouse in support of three K-Albanians currently on trial. No incidents were reported. >>>>>> REGION GNJILANE >>> CRIMINAL INCIDENTS MORTAR ATTACK Krivenik Village, Kacanik - 29/03 - 1155hrs. A K-Albanian and a British journalist were killed, in addition to ten people injured (ethnicities not confirmed), during a mortar attack on the village. The injured persons were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Investigation continuing. GRENADE ATTACK Prelez Village, Urosevac - 29/03 - 2300 hrs. Unknown person(s) threw a grenade into a petrol station that is under construction. Minor damage and no injuries were reported. Investigation continuing. ASSAULT/ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON Gnjilane - 28/03 - 2313 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he assaulted another K-Albanian male. During the investigation, the suspect was found to be in possession of a pistol. Minor injuries were reported and the weapon was seized. ASSAULT Kamenica Town - 29/03 - 1430 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he assaulted another K-Albanian male with a knife, causing minor injuries. COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY Kamenica Town - 27/03 - 2140 hrs. Two K-Albanian males were arrested after attempting to pass counterfeit currency. >>> OTHER INCIDENTS/EVENTS TRAFFIC ACCIDENT Gnjilane Town - 29/01 - 1545 hrs. A UNHCR vehicle was involved in a one-vehicle roll over accident. No injuries were reported. >>>>>> REGION PRIZREN >>> CRIMINAL INCIDENTS ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION Prizren - 28/03 - 2230 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that a group of unknown male suspects attempted to forcibly abduct him, but he managed to escape without injuries. Investigation continuing. ARSON Orahovac Town - 29/03 - 1100 hrs. A vehicle belonging to a German male was found completely burned. No injuries were reported. Investigation continuing. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL Prizren - 29/03 - 0107 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he was found to be operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. >>> OTHER INCIDENTS/EVENTS FOUND WEAPONS Prizren - 29/01 - 1100 hrs. While on patrol, KFOR reported locating 2 unoccupied vehicles on a roadway, which contained 38 machine guns, 1 AK-47 rifle and miscellaneous ammunition. Investigation continuing. >>>>>> REGION PEC >>> CRIMINAL INCIDENTS MURDER Pec Town - 29/03 - 1045 hrs. The body of an unknown male approximately 40 years of age was found partially buried. The victim was reported to have head injuries. Investigation continuing. THREATS/INTIMIDATION Pec - 28/03 - 1540 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after he threatened an on duty KPS officer. FORGERY Klina Town - 29/03 - 1000 hrs. A K-Albanian male was arrested after presenting a forged drivers license to UNMIK police. AUTO THEFT Dakovica Town - 28/03 - nighttime hrs. An employee of the NGO "Solidarite" reported the theft of a Lada Niva, bearing Macedonian registration # SK 997 A9, belonging to the organization. Investigation continuing. ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON <> Dubrava Village, Istok - 27/03 - 0830 hrs. During a search of his residence a K-Albanian male was arrested for possessing a shotgun and ammunition. Investigation continuing. DEMONSTRATION Istok Town - 29/03 - 1200 - 1300 hrs. A crowd of approximately 1500 K-Albanians peacefully demonstrated in support of ethnic Albanians in Macedonia. A K-Albanian male reported that two unknown male suspects armed with handguns forcibly entered his home and robbed him of cash. No injuries were reported. Investigation continuing. ASSAULT Karuga Village, Vucitrn - 28/03 - 2001 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that he was assaulted by a group of five to six K-Serbian males. No injuries were reported. Investigation continuing. THREATS/INTIMIDATION Buroj Village, Srbica - 29/03 - 1220 hrs. A K-Albanian male reported that he was threatened by another K-Albanian male who was armed with a gun. No injuries were reported. A K-Albanian female attempted to exit Kosovo using a false Germany "permit of stay", which was seized and exit denied. >>> CAFA PRUSHIT ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSING 28/03 - 1145 hrs. An Albanian was caught attempting to illegally cross the border into Kosovo. Entry was denied. FALSE DOCUMENT 28/03 - 1145 hrs.
