53 Participating Countries
( 4366 Police Officers as of 17 Mar 2001)
The international police component in the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo consist of officers sent by their mother countries to serve with the UN. Regardless of their national experience, all of them have to follow the international standard of policing. Since  former SRSG requested for more police officers, still the number of contributing countries is expected to be higher.
